General Contractor and engineer in Beltrami Minnesota

Jeff Haseltine

Hello my name is Jeff Haseltine.

I am a husband, father, grandfather, handyman and also a man of faith. My experience with a wide range of home remodels and repairs started in college as a carpenter and home remodeler. Along with residential homes, I also worked with rental property remodels.

Shortly after my college years, I transitioned to maintenance work in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area as a camp maintenance supervisor. From there, I got married and transitioned as a mason in Wisconsin working with flatwork, stone, and brick.

Upon having children, my wife, three kids and I relocated to the Twin Cities where I spent the next chapter of my career as a building maintenance manager that specialized in home maintenance, repair, painting, plumbing, electrical work and much more.

Having a solid work boot "shoo in" (get it?) I felt confident to try the white-collar arena where I spent over 20 years as an engineer and project manager for a fortune 500 technology company. Growing restless having to sit behind a desk every day along with a deep desire to connect to people again, I launched Jeff's Good Works LLC with my wife Darla and my son Paul.

I am thrilled to be interconnected into the community again, working with my hands, using creative problem solving skills and taking everything I've learned through my life's journey to help you with some of your very own home remodels and home repairs. I look forward to meeting you and learning more about your unique home.

Blessings,

Jeff Haseltine

Handyman and builder in Bemidji

Paul Haseltine

Hello my name is Paul Haseltine.

I am a husband, father, handyman, a man of boldness and also a man of faith. My career path started a little bit different than my father when I was sent overseas to Afghanistan and Japan in my early 20's through the United States Marine Corps.

Upon returning from Japan, I decided to pursue my degree in Bio-Kinetics through Bethel College in St. Paul while maintaining status in the USMC reserves. From there, I worked in three different gym settings, the final location being a small business gym my wife and I would come to own and operate for the next eight years.

Through the unfortunate closure of many small businesses during the Pandemic, my wife and I (along with a brand new child) decided to take a leap of faith and plan for a career change. While the gyms remained closed, my family and I transitioned to Bemidji from the Twin Cities to start work under my father, and a master carpenter.

I have spent the last two years under Jeff's expertise and supervision learning and mastering how to become a top notch handyman. My wife, son and I officially relocated this last summer to the area so I could begin full time work as my dad's right hand-handyman. I am excited for this new adventure and eager to help you with your favorite home remodels and/or repairs.

Soli Deo Gloria,

Paul Haseltine

Darla Haseltine

Hey there dwelling dreamer,

My name is Darla. I am a wife, mom, grandma, gardener, homemaker & a “Jackie” of various trades. I am Jeff’s “left hand” lady & if my son Paul is not available for the strong “right hand” of the business, I will step in as a laborer. If I am not assisting in labor, typically, I work behind the scenes doing book work, taxes & accounting.

Over the many years, Jeff & I have raised three children & now we are blessed with a plethora of grandchildren that keeps me on my toes. If I am not project planning with Jeff, you can most certainly find me hanging with my kids & grandkids, out in nature or spending time in my bible sipping coffee.

Before I faithfully stepped into the contracting world with my husband Jeff, I was a children’s ministry pastor/director for 25 years. I recently retired from ministry in 2021 & it was a delight & an honor to shepherd, teach & serve kids & families that God assigned me to. No matter where God calls me, whether it was working with children & now transitioning to Jeff’s Good Works, growing in my faith & loving others is the most important thing to me.

With that being said, I’d be interested to know more about you! I am here as a “support beam” for your future home projects & also a “tool” in my husband’s tool belt for anything he may need to help you succeed in your home plans. Ok, that was cheesy.

God Bless,

Darla Haseltine

Courtney Haseltine

Hey fellow small business fan,

My name is Courtney. I am a wife, toddler mom, Doberman lover, business developer for JGW & faith + fitness enthusiasts.  As you may have read already, I met my husband Paul (Jeff’s son) at the gym. Paul & I were both pursuing personal training & nutrition coaching and then “WAM” our world’s collided. Meaning, we got married, had a baby & moved to the Great North country in 2021 where we now call home.

Without repeating too much of what my husband already wrote, before we moved up north, we developed a private personal training company that would take us on a journey of business ownership, development & helping people from all walks of life get healthy.

Life took a drastic “PIVOT!” once the gyms closed in 2020 & we transitioned from working at a training business to TODAY a contracting business: Jeff’s Good Works. Even though it’s a little outside of my comfort zone (ok, a lot!) my business skills are still there. I had to trade in my Nike shoes for some “workin’ boots,” but I am adapting. Slowly.

I have an incredible passion for helping small businesses grow, interconnect & create community where everyone can flourish. These two fellas’ (Jeff & Paul) are my guys! I am cheering my FIL (father-in-law) & my husband ON. I hope we can all connect together to discuss your future home projects.

Let’s Work,

Courtney Haseltine
